Lowell A. Doringo

Keynote Speaker

Originally from Houston, Texas, Lowell Doringo developed his passion for leadership in the 8th grade when he was elected as the student council president of his local middle school. From there, his leadership skills grew with his membership in HOSA – Future Health Professionals, where he eventually served as the 1998-1999 National HOSA President.

After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor‘s Degree in Communication Studies in 2002, Lowell completed the Disney Parks and Resorts College Program Internship. He continued to develop his Disney career through several roles including: Disney VIP Tour Guide, MAGIC KINGDOM® Park Guest Service Manager, and as a Business Programs Facilitator for the Disney Institute where he taught “the business behind the magic” to organizations and Fortune 500 companies.

In 2007, Lowell was selected among the 62,000 employees as one of two Walt Disney World® Ambassadors, the official Disney spokespersons and goodwill emissaries to all nations, a role originally selected by Walt Disney himself. At the end of his Ambassadorship, Lowell was hired as the Project Consultant tasked to develop the Emerging Leaders Program, an intensive leadership training program for high potential employees seeking their first management position.

In addition, Lowell volunteers with various non-profit organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, and serves on the HOSA, Inc. Board of Directors, the governing body that oversees HOSA – Future Health Professionals. In 2012, he will serve as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HOSA, Inc., leading the organization of over 130,000 members.

Today, Lowell lives in Orlando, Florida, and continues to work for The Walt Disney World® Resort as a Learning & Development Manager where he also received the 2009 Partners in Excellence Award, Disney‘s highest achievement.
