Events:
Finance Case Study
Financial Case Competition provides members with the opportunity to review a case study and present their findings to a panel of judges. Students are challenged with analyzing a real-world case study situation involving financial concepts and how those concepts apply to the disciplines of investment and corporate finance in both business enterprises and financial services institutions. Concepts include understanding the source and purpose of financial statements, the impact of management decisions on statements, and the analysis and interpretation of data for planning purposes.
Marketing Case Study
Marketing Case Competition provides members with the opportunity to review a case study and present their findings to a panel of judges. The case study will incorporate many aspects of marketing, sales and communication such as customer service, social media, marketing campaigns, marketing analysis, selling techniques, etc.
Pitch Competition
The Pitch Competition is an exciting, pitch-based event where students showcase their entrepreneurial spirit by presenting innovative business or service ideas to the state officer team (judges). Much like the popular show Shark Tank, participants will have the chance to persuade the judges to invest in their vision. Students will be evaluated not only on the creativity and feasibility of their ideas but also on their presentation skills, market understanding, and business acumen. This competition provides a unique opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to gain valuable feedback, potential support, and recognition for their projects, while honing the skills needed to succeed in the world of business.
Impromptu Speaking
Impromptu Speaking provides members with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills around preparing and delivering a speech extemporaneously. This competitive event consists of a speech, with the topic being given on site. Students have 10 minutes to prepare after giving the topic and 5 minutes to present to a judge.
